Who We Are
Woodcock Limited of Pennsylvania, founded in February 2007, is a state chapter of Woodcock Limited, a 501 (c) (3) Non-Profit Organization. We are a Fraternity of Hunters and Conservationists dedicated to the welfare of the American woodcock. We work with local, state, and federal organizations to promote habitat and woodcock research, habitat management, and harvest management in Pennsylvania. Further, WL of PA engages in educational efforts to advance the public's knowledge of the woodcock and its management needs.
Woodcock Limited of Pennsylvania is the only statewide organization solely dedicated to helping the woodcock. While the work we do also benefits a variety of other species (over 58) which might occupy the same habitat as the woodcock--such as the ruffed grouse and the whitetail deer--our focus is on woodcock. If you have a primary interest in woodcock, there is no other organization which will suit your interest as well as WL of PA. Because we have no paid employees, we can use all the funds we raise to actually help woodcock and not meet a payroll. We always have a need for hands-on help with habitat work and with research projects. Please contact us so you, too can help the woodcock in Pennsylvania!
